NodeJs Backend Developer

We are seeking a skilled Node.js Backend Developer with 3–4 years of experience in building scalable,

secure, and high-performance backend systems. The ideal candidate should have strong

JavaScript/TypeScript fundamentals and experience in architecting modern backend services, API

development, and database integrations.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain backend services using Node.js, Express.js, or NestJS.

• Build scalable REST APIs with proper routing, validation, and error handling.

• Implement authentication and authorization using JWT, OAuth2, or session-based mechanisms.

• Work on modular, reusable, and well-structured backend architecture.

• Integrate relational and non-relational databases with proper schema design and query optimization.

• Collaborate with frontend teams (React/Next.js) to optimize data contracts and API flows.

• Improve backend performance using caching (Redis), optimized queries, and code-level

optimizations.

• Implement logging, monitoring, and observability standards.

• Ensure production-grade code quality through code reviews, Git workflows, and documentation.

• Work with DevOps teams for deployments, scaling, and infrastructure improvements.

• Continuously optimize APIs for performance, stability, and security.

Required Skills & Experience

• 3–4 years of hands-on experience with Node.js (mandatory).

• Strong foundation in JavaScript (ES6+) and TypeScript.

• Experience with Express.js, NestJS, or similar backend frameworks.

• Strong background in building and scaling REST APIs.

• Knowledge of async patterns, event-driven architecture, and Node.js performance tuning.• Experience with PostgreSQL/MySQL, MongoDB, or other databases.

• Familiarity with ORMs/ODMs like Prisma, Sequelize, Mongoose, etc.

• Experience with Redis for caching, queues, or session management.

• Experience integrating APIs using Axios, Fetch, or SDKs.

• Understanding of API security, encryption, rate limiting, and validation (Joi/Yup/Zod).

• Familiarity with modern backend build tools (Webpack, SWC, Babel).

• Strong Git experience and knowledge of branching strategies.

• Ability to write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code.

Good to Have

• Knowledge of GraphQL (Apollo/Helix).

• Experience with message brokers like Kafka, RabbitMQ, or BullMQ.

• Exposure to Docker, containerization, and cloud services (AWS/Azure/GCP).

• Experience with unit, integration, and API testing using Jest, Mocha, or Supertest.

• Understanding of microservices, serverless functions, and distributed system concepts.

• Familiarity with monitoring tools like Grafana, Prometheus, ELK, Datadog, etc.

• Exposure to CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Jenkins.
