This role involves the design, implementation, and maintenance of secure, high-performance network infrastructure across multiple locations. Key Responsibilities:Design, configure, and maintain LAN/WAN infrastructure using routers, switches, and firewalls.Install, configure, and manage WatchGuard Firebox appliances, including security policies, VPN tunnels, and web filtering.Monitor and optimize network performance, reliability, and scalability.Perform regular network maintenance, firmware updates, and patch management.Troubleshoot complex network issues involving routing, switching, and firewall rules.Configure and support VPNs (site-to-site and remote access).Ensure compliance with security policies and best practices.Maintain detailed documentation for network topology, configurations, and procedures.Provide technical support for escalated networking issues and outages. Requirements:Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).7+ years of experience in network engineering.Strong hands-on experience with WatchGuard firewalls.Proven experience configuring and troubleshooting routers and switches (Cisco, HP, Juniper, etc.).Solid understanding of TCP/IP, VLANs, OSPF, BGP, NAT, and ACLs.Experience with IPSec, SSL VPN, and remote access solutions.Working knowledge of network monitoring tools and logging systems. Preferred Qualifications:WatchGuard Certified Network Security Professional (WCNSP) or other relevant certifications.CCNA/CCNP, CompTIA Network+, or equivalent certifications.Experience with network automation or scripting (PowerShell, Python).Familiarity with cloud networking (AWS, Azure).Strong interpersonal and communication skills for working across teams.
