Job Description

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and proactive L2 Network Engineer to support and maintain our enterprise network infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in managing switches (Meraki and Cisco ), firewalls, and wireless technologies, and will be responsible for resolving escalated network issues, performing routine maintenance, and supporting network upgrades.

Key Responsibilities:

Monitor and troubleshoot network performance issues (LAN/WAN/Wi-Fi).
Handle escalations from L1 support and resolve complex network incidents.
Configure and maintain network devices (Cisco, Fortinet, etc.).
Perform network changes, upgrades, and patching as per change management policies.
Maintain network documentation including topology diagrams and IP address management.
Collaborate with vendors and ISPs for issue resolution and service improvements.
Implement and maintain network security best practices (ACLs, VPNs, firewalls).
Participate in on-call rotation and provide after-hours support as needed.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

3–5 years of experience in network support or administration.
ITIL certification is an added advantage.
Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, and routing protocols (OSPF, BGP).
Experience with enterprise-grade switches, routers, and firewalls.
Familiarity with network monitoring tools (SolarWinds, PRTG, Wireshark, etc.).
Certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent are preferred.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and documentation abilities.

Preferred Qualifications:

Knowledge of SD-WAN (Fortinet / Meraki).
Exposure to ITIL practices and ticketing systems (ServiceNow).
