About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Network & Hardware Support Engineer intern to join our IT team. The candidate will be responsible for maintaining and supporting the company’s IT infrastructure, including computer systems, servers, networking devices, and hardware equipment. The role requires hands-on troubleshooting, installation, and technical support to ensure smooth IT operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain desktops, laptops, printers, servers, and other IT hardware.
• Manage and troubleshoot network devices including switches, routers, firewalls, and wireless access points.
• Perform regular system updates, patches, and security monitoring.
• Diagnose and resolve hardware and network issues (LAN/WAN/Wi-Fi).
• Provide technical support for end-users regarding system, hardware, and connectivity problems.
• Maintain IT asset inventory, warranty tracking, and hardware lifecycle management.
• Ensure network security and backup systems are properly configured and monitored.
• Collaborate with vendors and service providers for procurement and issue resolution.
• Document support processes, incident reports, and troubleshooting steps.

Requirements

1. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Electronics, or related field.
2. 1–3 years of experience in IT hardware and network support.
3. Strong knowledge of computer hardware, operating systems (Windows/Linux), and peripherals.
4. Understanding of LAN/WAN, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, and firewalls.
5. Hands-on experience with network configuration and troubleshooting.
6. Ability to diagnose and repair hardware issues efficiently.
7. Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
8. Relevant certifications (CCNA, CompTIA A+, N+, or similar) will be an added advantage.
