Job Description

Job Title: Network Engineer

Location:

Key Responsibilities:

Configure and install a wide range of network devices and services including routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, VPNs, and QoS mechanisms.
Administer and maintain wireless technologies such as
Juniper, Aruba, Meraki,
or equivalent.
Design, implement, and support
SD-WAN
solutions — hands-on experience with
Cisco Viptela
is highly preferred.
Perform routine network maintenance and system upgrades, including applying service packs, patches, hotfixes, and security configurations.
Monitor network performance to ensure system availability, reliability, and optimal resource utilization.
Plan and execute capacity planning, system diagnostics, and performance tuning.
Provide
Level 2/3 support
for escalated network issues and troubleshoot complex problems in a timely manner.
Follow established change and configuration management procedures to ensure proper awareness, approval, and documentation of changes.
Collaborate with the cybersecurity team to implement network security measures, policies, and tools.
Liaise with hardware and software vendors and internal IT teams for efficient problem resolution.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Proven hands-on experience in network engineering.
CCNP certification
is required;
CCIE
certification is a strong plus.
Strong knowledge of networking protocols such as
IPSec, HSRP, BGP, OSPF, 802.11
, and
QoS
.
In-depth understanding of the
OSI
or
TCP/IP
model.
Experience with network monitoring, diagnostic, and analytics tools.
Solid troubleshooting skills with attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure.
Bachelor’s degree in
Computer Science
,
Information Technology
, or a related field.

Experience working in large-scale enterprise or hybrid cloud network environments.
Exposure to automation tools or scripting for network operations.
