Network Engineer

We are looking for a skilled and proactive System/Network Engineer to manage and maintain our internal office network, systems, internet connectivity, switches, and firewalls. The ideal candidate will ensure the smooth functioning of IT infrastructure, troubleshoot network/system issues, and implement security measures to protect our digital assets. When not engaged in system or network-related tasks, the candidate will assist with general back office operations and support functions.

Key Responsibilities:

Primary (Network/System Support):

• Manage and maintain internal LAN/WAN infrastructure and ensure high availability.
• Monitor and troubleshoot internet connectivity and performance issues.
• Configure, manage, and maintain switches, routers, and wireless access points.
• Handle installation, configuration, and updates of firewall systems (e.g., FortiGate, Sophos, etc.)
• Support internal system issues related to networking and connectivity.
• Provide technical support to office staff for network/system-related queries.
• Coordinate with internet service providers for outages or upgrades.
• Monitor and manage IP allocation, DHCP, DNS, and VPN connections.
• Perform routine checks and preventive maintenance of network equipment.

Secondary (Back Office Support):

· Assist with data entry, document preparation, or other operational tasks.

· Support day-to-day administrative functions as assigned by the operations team.

· Maintain basic inventory of IT and office supplies.

Education & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field
• Proven experience as a Network Engineer or Server Administrator

Skills:

• Strong understanding of network infrastructure and network hardware
• Hands-on experience with networking hardware (switches, routers, firewalls).
• Proven experience as a network/system engineer or similar role.
• Must Knowledge of firewall installation, configuration, and management is required.
• Strong understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, and VPNs.
• Familiarity with Windows/Linux system administration
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
