Job Description

Role Summary:

The Network Administrator will be responsible for managing, maintaining, and securing the organization’s network infrastructure to ensure high availability, performance, and reliability. The role requires strong technical expertise in networking concepts, hands-on experience with enterprise networking devices, and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve network-related issues efficiently.



Key Responsibilities:

Network Infrastructure Management

o Maintain, monitor, and manage the organization’s network infrastructure to ensure stability, security, and optimal performance.

o Perform regular network maintenance, upgrades, and performance tuning.

• OSI Model Implementation

o Apply in-depth knowledge of the OSI Model for effective network design, implementation, and troubleshooting.

• DHCP Configuration & Management

o Configure, manage, and troubleshoot DHCP servers for efficient IP address allocation and management.

• TCP/IP Protocol Suite

o Implement, monitor, and troubleshoot TCP/IP-based network protocols and services.

• TCP/UDP Traffic Management

o Monitor and manage TCP and UDP traffic to ensure efficient and reliable network communication.

• Routing

o Configure, manage, and troubleshoot routers to ensure efficient data transmission between network segments.

• VLAN Management

o Design, create, configure, and manage VLANs to logically segment network traffic and enhance performance and security.

• IP Addressing & Subnetting

o Maintain and administer IP addressing schemes, subnetting, and address allocation.

• Switching (Layer 2 & Layer 3)

o Manage and support Layer 2 and Layer 3 switching infrastructure for efficient internal network communication.

• Network Devices Administration

o Configure, manage, and troubleshoot Cisco and Aruba switches.

o Maintain and configure Fortinet Firewalls to protect the network from security threats

o Network Security

  • o Assist in implementing basic network security measures and follow best practices to safeguard network resources.


Must-Have Skills & Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (preferred).

• CCNA certification or equivalent networking certification (mandatory).

• Minimum 4+ years of experience in network administration or a related role.

• Strong understanding of the OSI Model and its practical applications.

• Proficiency in DHCP, TCP/IP, TCP/UDP, routing, VLANs, IP addressing, and switching.

• Hands-on experience with Cisco and Aruba switches.

• Experience with Fortinet Firewalls is an added advantage.

• Basic understanding of network security concepts.

• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

• Willingness to continuously update skills and stay current with emerging networking technologies.
