Position: HORECA Head
Industry: Imported Food & Frozen Food (Including Non-Veg)
Location: Delhi (Corporate Office)
Reporting To: Director
Experience Required: 8+ years in HORECA sales, preferably in imported and frozen food categories
Job Summary:
The HORECA (Hotels, Restaurants, and Catering) Head will be responsible for leading the sales and distribution strategy for imported and frozen food products (including non-veg) across the HORECA channel. This role involves developing key partnerships, driving revenue growth, ensuring high customer satisfaction, and expanding market penetration in the foodservice industry.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Sales & Business Development:
▪ Develop and execute the HORECA sales strategy for imported and frozen food products.
▪ Identify and onboard new business opportunities with hotels, restaurants, caterers, QSRs, and institutional buyers.
▪ Drive revenue growth and market share in the HORECA segment.
▪ Negotiate contracts, pricing, and supply agreements with key accounts.
2. Key Account Management:
▪ Build and maintain strong relationships with chefs, F&B managers, and procurement heads.
▪ Conduct regular meetings with key clients to understand their requirements and offer customized solutions.
▪ Ensure timely deliveries, resolving operational challenges, and managing service expectations.
3. Product & Category Management:
▪ Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and consumer preferences to refine product offerings.
▪ Collaborate with the procurement and import teams to ensure a steady supply of high-quality imported and frozen food products.
▪ Work with marketing teams to develop promotional strategies for new product launches and brand positioning.
4. Supply Chain & Logistics Coordination:
▪ Ensure efficient cold chain logistics and inventory management to maintain product quality.
▪ Collaborate with warehouse and distribution teams to optimize deliveries and minimize wastage.
▪ Address supply chain issues promptly to avoid disruptions in service.
5. Financial & Operational Management:
▪ Develop and manage sales forecasts, budgets, and pricing strategies.
▪ Ensure profitability by monitoring costs, margins, and overall business performance.
▪ Work closely with finance teams to manage credit control and payment collections from HORECA clients.
Skills & Competencies:
▪ Strong sales and negotiation skills
▪ Deep understanding of the HORECA market and customer needs
▪ Knowledge of imported and frozen food products, especially non-veg categories
▪ Ability to manage end-to-end supply chain for perishable goods
▪ Strong relationship management with chefs, procurement heads, and key decision-makers
▪ Excellent communication and leadership abilities
▪ Ability to work in a fast-paced, target-driven environment
