Job Description

We are looking for an experienced and result-oriented National Sales Manager in India for our Taylor Hobson business unit, located at the AMETEK Office in Bangalore. As the National Sales Manager, you will be responsible for driving strategic sales and service growth across multiple markets in India. Reporting to the UK based Global Sales & Marketing Director, you will play a key role in the sales leadership team, collaborating with business and manufacturing leadership to develop and execute strategies, create growth plans, and provide sales and production forecasts for operational and financial planning. Your key responsibilities will include developing a strategic plan to achieve double-digit growth across all regions and products, managing both direct and indirect sales channels, innovating the sales organization infrastructure, leading a team of experienced sales, applications, and service engineers, managing in-region Channel Partners/distributors, and consolidating a new CRM system within the sales and service team processes. Additionally, you will be required to ensure effective go-to-market strategy, gather and analyze market and competitive intelligence, recommend improvements and new market opportunities, provide focused sales support for new product introductions, and develop strong Key Account relationships with major Optics, A&D, and Bearings companies. The ideal candidate should have experience in managing distribution channels, selling high-value capital goods, managing long and complex sales cycles, and leading sales, service, and application teams. Strong product knowledge, the ability to communicate complex technical and commercial subjects effectively, and a track record of success in the metrology/test equipment/manufacturing/instrumentation sectors are essential. Desired skills include good communicative English language skills, capable of communicating complex technical and commercial subjects in written and spoken English. The candidate should have 10-15 years of overall experience in Sales & Service and hold an MTech/BTech/BE degree, with an MBA preferred.
