DEPARTMENT: R&D POSITION TITLE: Sr. MAUI Mobile Engineer Tester POSITION REPORTS TO: Team Lead, R&D Software Quality or above BASIC PURPOSE: Responsible for the engineering of software quality for an enterprise level product in a highly regulated environment. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Serve as a senior engineer and contributor in a quality engineering team. Review Product Requirement documents and Engineering Functional Specifications, define test strategy, and scope test effort as part of regular planning cycle. Write detailed test plans for assigned features to include manual and automated tests Help set the direction, process, and general test methodology for parallel development of the software and automated test suite. Assist other members of the team with technical problems in test environments and script development Work with the software engineering team to resolve issues arising in the test process Develop and maintain manual and automated scripts and libraries Develop and maintain innovative, repeatable test plans based on functional requirements, use cases, user interface designs, system design documents and domain knowledge Work with QA team members, software developers and system and database administrators to trouble-shoot test failures in the various test environments. This may include trouble-shooting database issues using SQL queries, reviewing web server and application server logs, etc. Review the work of less experienced team members and guide and train them on the processes and tools. Adhere to company policies, procedures, behaviors, and ethics. Is attentive to detail and accuracy, is committed to excellence, looks for improvements continuously, monitors quality levels, finds root cause of quality problems, owns/acts on quality problems. With the assistance & support from management - targets and achieves results, sets challenging goals, prioritizes tasks, overcomes obstacles, responds well to change. QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS NEEDED: Education : Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, a related technical field or equivalent practical experience. Experience : Minimum of 8 years of experience in the field of software quality engineering. Knowledge in the software development lifecycle, practices and scripting languages such as Javascript, Ruby, Python, etc., as well as SQL. Experience with testing web, API and/or mobile phone applications. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to communicate effectively in English. Knowledgeable in software testing techniques (Functional, Integration, System, Regression). Experienced with test management tools for requirement, test case and defect tracking. Specific experience with Polarion is a plus. Experienced with software test automation. Experience with Katalon is a plus. Experience with working directly with Software Developers. Travel requirements for this position: None to Low Experience with mentoring/teaching is a plus. Knowledge of Agile software development processes is a plus. Knowledge of SAFe is a bonus. Knowledge of FDA Regulations surrounding 21 CFR Part 11 and cGxP is a plus Familiarity with DevOps practice and Cloud based software solutions is a plus
