Job Description

Role Summary

You’ll be responsible for preparing complex MIS and financial reports, analyzing project-wise profitability (including mobilization, demobilization, transportation expenses), and liaising with operations teams. This role requires good technical skills (Excel, macros, dashboarding / Power BI) and an ability to communicate findings to senior management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collect, compile, validate project / trip data from multiple operations / Project Logistics stakeholders.
  • Design and prepare regular MIS reports (daily, weekly, monthly) with deep insights into project-wise costs and profitability.
  • Analyze expenses like mobilization, demobilization, transportation, overheads etc., and ensure accurate cost allocation.
  • Perform Ad-Hoc tasks based on the requirements of the Senior Management.
  • Build and maintain dashboards in Power BI (or similar tools) for senior management to track project performance.
  • Develop / use macros and advanced Excel features to automate repetitive reporting tasks.
  • Use TALLY to verify entries, extract data, reconcile with operations data.
  • Spot trends, variances, anomalies; propose corrective actions.
  • Ensure high attention to detail and data accuracy.
  • Communicate clearly with senior leadership and operations teams, present findings, support decision-making.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance / commerce / accounting (or related field).
  • Possessing a CMA would be a huge advantage.
  • 1-2 years hands-on experience preparing financial MIS, reporting, cost/profit analysis.
  • Familiarity with logistics / project operations considered a plus.
  • Strong Excel skills (macros, advanced functions, pivot tables etc.).
  • Experience with Power BI (dashboard creation, visualization).
  • Experience / working knowledge in TALLY software or similar accounting tool.
  • Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written).
  • Strong analytical mindset, ability to work with incomplete / messy data; high attention to detail.
Ability to work in a matrix structure; comfortable liaising across functions.
