About the Role


We are looking for an experienced Microsoft Purview Consultant

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the deployment and management of Microsoft Purview solutions for

    data governance, compliance, and risk management

    .
  • Define and implement

    data classification, labeling, and protection policies

    across Microsoft 365, hybrid, and cloud-native environments.
  • Configure and manage

    DLP, insider risk management, records management, and eDiscovery

    in Purview.
  • Integrate Purview with

    Microsoft Defender, Entra ID (Azure AD), Intune, and Exchange

    for end-to-end compliance enforcement.
  • Assess current data estate, identify compliance gaps, and propose remediation strategies.
  • Support

    data cataloging, lineage tracking, and metadata management

    to strengthen governance.
  • Collaborate with security, compliance, and business teams to ensure alignment with regulatory standards (GDPR, HIPAA, ISO, SOX, etc.).
  • Prepare and deliver

    technical documentation, training, and adoption workshops

    .
  • Provide advanced troubleshooting and support for Purview and its integrations.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • 5–7 years of experience in

    Microsoft 365 Security & Compliance, Data Governance, or Information Protection

    .
  • Strong, practical expertise with Microsoft Purview, including

    Compliance Manager, DLP, Information Protection, Insider Risk, eDiscovery, and Records Management

    .
  • Proven track record with

    sensitivity labels, retention policies, and data classification frameworks

    .
  • Deep understanding of Microsoft 365 security and compliance capabilities.
  • Familiarity with

    Azure services, Entra ID, Intune, Exchange, and SharePoint Online

    .
  • Solid knowledge of

    regulatory frameworks

    (GDPR, HIPAA, SOX, etc.) and ability to map them into technical solutions.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to design scalable solutions.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

Good to Have (Preferred)

  • Microsoft Certified:

    Information Protection Administrator Associate

    or

    Security, Compliance & Identity Fundamentals

    .
  • Experience with

    Microsoft Defender

    and the wider M365 security ecosystem.
  • Exposure to

    enterprise-scale deployments, migrations, and compliance rollouts

    .
  • Knowledge of

    Power BI, Power Automate, and governance workflows

    .

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in

    Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity

    , or a related field.
