What You’ll Do

• Design, build, and maintain scalable web applications using the MERN stack—MongoDB, Express.js, React (with TypeScript), and Node.js.
• Translate product and business requirements into clean, efficient, and testable code.
• Develop robust RESTful (and/or GraphQL) APIs and server-side logic.
• Create reusable React components and shared UI libraries to accelerate future development.
• Optimize front-end performance for speed, accessibility, and scalability.
• Implement security, authentication, and authorization mechanisms (e.g., OAuth 2.0, JWT).
• Write unit, integration, and end-to-end tests using Jest, React Testing Library, and/or Cypress.
• Participate in code reviews, provide constructive feedback, and mentor junior engineers where needed.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve complex issues across the stack in production and staging environments.
• Collaborate daily with product managers, designers, and DevOps to deliver high-quality releases via CI/CD pipelines.

Who You Are

Must-have qualifications

• 2+ years

  of hands-on full-stack development with the MERN stack.
• Strong JavaScript & TypeScript skills, including modern ES2020+ features.
• In-depth knowledge of React fundamentals (hooks, context API, component composition, state management with Redux Toolkit or equivalent).
• Practical experience building Node.js/Express.js back ends, including middleware design and API versioning.
• Solid grasp of MongoDB query optimization and schema design (Mongoose or native driver).
• Familiarity with Git-based workflows, pull requests, and trunk-based or Git-flow branching strategies.
• Experience setting up and maintaining CI/CD (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, CircleCI, etc.).
• Comfort with unit and integration testing frameworks (Jest, Mocha, Supertest).
• Working knowledge of cloud hosting (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and containerization/Docker basics.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities, self-motivation, and clear written & verbal communication skills in English.

Nice-to-have bonuses

• Experience with server-side rendering (Next.js) or static-site generation.
• Knowledge of WebSockets/real-time apps (Socket.IO).
• Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, AWS CDK).
• Exposure to micro-frontend or microservices architectures.

• Modern development laptop/desktop capable of running multiple Docker containers and IDEs smoothly.
• Quiet, professional workspace suitable for focused coding and frequent virtual collaboration.

Rates & Expectations

• Work Setup:

  100 % remote (global).

• Employment Type:

  Full-time, 40 hrs/week.
• Competitive market-based compensation commensurate with experience and location.
