Merchandiser

We are seeking a dynamic and skilled Merchandiser to join our apparel manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing product development, coordinating sample approvals, and maintaining effective communication with international buyers and internal departments. The role requires a deep understanding of fabrics, patterns, trims, and embroideries, along with strong organizational and follow-up skills to ensure the timely execution of each stage from sampling to production.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage the sample development process from design concept to final sample approval.
• Communicate directly with buyers/customers for approvals, comments, and feedback on samples, trims, and fabrics.
• Work closely with design, sampling, and production teams to ensure all buyer requirements are clearly understood and implemented.
• Source and develop fabrics, trims, and embroideries as per buyer specifications.
• Maintain accurate records of sample status, costing, and T&A calendars.
• Coordinate with production and quality teams for smooth handover of styles post-sample approval.
• Follow up with suppliers, mills, and internal departments to ensure timely execution of all orders.
• Support the team in price negotiations, costing sheets, and approvals as required.
• Prepare and present collection boards, swatches, and buyer presentations when necessary.

Desired Candidate Profile:

• Graduate in Textile Design, Fashion Merchandising, or Apparel Production.
• 2–5 years of experience as a Merchandiser in an apparel manufacturing or export environment.
• Strong knowledge of woven and knit fabrics, garment construction, patterns, trims, and embroidery techniques.

Profile:

• Graduate in Textiles, Fashion, or related field (preferred).
• 2–5 years of experience as a Production Merchandiser or in a similar role within an export house.
• Strong understanding of garment production processes and export documentation.
• Excellent communication, coordination, and follow-up skills.
• Proficient in MS Excel and ERP systems for production tracking and reporting.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple orders simultaneously.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹28,000.00 per month

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Noida, Uttar Pradesh: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
