MEP Manager

Key Responsibilities: Design Development: Collaborate with architects and other engineers to develop comprehensive MEP designs for building projects, ensuring compliance with applicable codes, regulations, and standards. System Layout and Sizing: Determine the layout and sizing of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems based on project requirements, energy efficiency goals, and budget constraints. Equipment Selection: Specify and select appropriate equipment, fixtures, and materials for MEP systems, considering factors such as performance, energy efficiency, and lifecycle costs. Cost Estimation: Prepare cost estimates and budget proposals for MEP systems, including labor, materials, and equipment. Technical Documentation: Create detailed drawings, specifications, and technical documentation for MEP systems, utilizing computer-aided design (CAD) software and other tools as necessary. Construction Oversight: Provide technical support and oversight during the construction phase, reviewing contractor submittals, conducting site inspections, and resolving technical issues as they arise. Testing and Commissioning: Coordinate the testing, startup, and commissioning of MEP systems, ensuring proper functionality and compliance with design specifications. Sustainability and Energy Efficiency: Integrate sustainable design principles and energy-efficient technologies into MEP systems to minimize environmental impact and optimize building performance. Code Compliance: Stay informed about relevant building codes, standards, and regulations related to MEP systems, and ensure that designs and installations comply with all applicable requirements. Client Liaison: Serve as a primary point of contact for clients and project stakeholders regarding MEP engineering matters, providing technical expertise and addressing any concerns or questions that may arise.
