Job Description

Electrical Design & PlanningElectrical System Design: Develop detailed electrical designs, including power distribution systems, lighting,control panel design, earthing, fire alarm, security systems, and low-voltage systems. Load Calculation & Analysis: Perform electrical load calculations to ensure the capacity of the electrical system can handle future demands. Code Compliance: Ensure that all electrical designs comply with Indian Standards (IS), National Building Code (NBC), IE Rules, and international norms like IEC and BS. Energy Efficient Design: Integrate energy-efficient designs like LED lighting, solar power, and smart systems (e.g., motion sensors, smart meter system, energy management systems). Coordination with Other Teams: Work closely with civil engineers, architects, mechanical engineers, and other stakeholders for coordination of electrical designs within the overall building design. 2. Project ManagementProject Scheduling: Create detailed project timelines for electrical work, including design, procurement, installation, and testing stages. Resource Allocation: Plan, allocate, and track resources (e.g., manpower, tools, materials) to ensure timely completion of electrical tasks. Budget Management: Monitor electrical project budgets and ensure that electrical work is completed within the allocated budget. Client Coordination: Meet with clients to understand their electrical requirements and provide technical advice. Ensure client’s expectations are met on time and within budget. 3. Site SupervisionInstallation Supervision: Oversee the electrical installation on construction sites, ensuring work is done as per approved plans and safety standards. Quality Control: Inspect the installation of all electrical systems (including wiring, panels, circuit breakers, transformers, etc.) to ensure they meet quality and safety standards. Site Inspections: Conduct frequent inspections to ensure adherence to design, safety norms, and building codes. Ensure that electrical systems are installed with proper grounding, circuit protection, and insulation. Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve electrical issues on-site promptly, ensuring minimal disruption to construction schedules. 4. Electrical Equipment & Material SelectionMaterial Procurement: Identify and select materials and equipment for electrical installations (e.g., wires, circuit breakers, switches, transformers, etc.) that meet project specifications and IS standards. Vendor Management: Coordinate with vendors and suppliers for quotations, material procurement, and timely delivery of electrical components. Cost Optimization: Evaluate and choose electrical materials and equipment that optimize both cost and performance. 5. Testing & CommissioningSystem Testing: Conduct thorough testing of electrical systems (e.g., voltage testing, insulation resistance testing, load testing) to verify their functionality. Commissioning: Ensure all electrical systems (lighting, power, HVAC, etc.) are commissioned correctly, tested, and fully operational before handing over to the client. Documentation: Prepare and maintain records of testing results, certifications, and compliance reports for client submission.
