Job Title : MEP Designer Industry: Corporate Interior Fit-outs / Workplace Design & Build (D&B) Reports To: Head of Design / Head of Projects Job Type: Regular & Full-time Company Overview: Inpulse Design Consultants Pvt. Ltd. (IDCPL) based out of Pune, is a leading provider of innovative Corporate Office / Workplace Design and Build (D&B) solutions, specializing in creating high-performance, functional, and aesthetically pleasing office spaces for businesses across various sectors. IDCPL is Nextgen startup in the niche segment based out of Pune (Maharashtra). We're currently looking to expand our design team with a skilled MEP Designer (Workplace) who can contribute technically and creatively to our projects. Position Overview The MEP Designer (Workplace) will be responsible for the planning, design, and coordination of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems for corporate interior projects. The ideal candidate should be well-versed with workplace-specific requirements and capable of working in a fast-paced, collaborative D&B environment. Key Roles & Responsibilities Design & Detailing: Develop MEP layout plans (HVAC, Electrical, Fire Fighting, Plumbing) as per project requirements. Prepare conceptual, schematic, and detailed MEP design drawings in coordination with architectural plans. Conduct load calculations, equipment sizing, and technical selections (e.g., AHUs, transformers, cables, pumps). Coordination: Collaborate with architects, interior designers, structural engineers, and vendors to ensure design integration. Coordinate with site teams for design implementation, revisions, and troubleshooting. Ensure compliance with local codes, NBC, IS codes, and relevant industry standards. Project Management Support: Assist in preparing BOQs, technical specifications, and project documentation. Support procurement by reviewing vendor drawings and evaluating technical bids. Attend site visits and design review meetings as needed. Quality & Compliance: Ensure MEP systems are energy-efficient, sustainable, and aligned with client expectations. Incorporate green building practices and coordinate with third-party consultants if required (e.g., LEED, IGBC). Key Skills & Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or equivalent. 3–5 years of relevant experience in MEP design within the D&B / corporate interiors / commercial fit-out industry. Working knowledge of BIM. Exposure to high-end commercial projects or multinational corporate interiors. Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit (preferred), MS Office, and related design software. Familiarity with NBC, ECBC, IS standards, and relevant local regulations. Strong understanding of MEP system functionality, constructability, and integration. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Good communication and coordination skills for cross-functional collaboration . Please Note Immediate joiners from Pune are preferred.
