The Opportunity
An MTS 3 is a capable and self-directed engineer who executes independently on well-defined technical specifications. They are expected to take ownership of feature delivery from implementation to release while actively contributing to the teams code quality and testing culture. They demonstrate a strong understanding of core frontend technologies and user-centered design principles, collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams to deliver robust user experiences.
About the Team
The Prism UI team at Nutanix is responsible for building the user interface for the Nutanix Prism platform. A single-pane management solution tailored for Nutanix''s hybrid cloud infrastructure, Prism offers an integrated solution for managing all virtual infrastructure resources, including computing, storage, and networking.
Your Role
Technical Ability & Execution

Independent Execution:
Able to work independently on scoped-out tasks, managing their own priorities to meet sprint deadlines without requiring daily oversight. -
High-Quality Code:
Develops features that are clean, maintainable, and efficient. Writes robust, testable code and actively contributes to unit and e2e test suites (e.g., Jest, RTL, Playwright). -
Problem Solving:
Handles routine engineering tasks completely independently. Proactively identifies bugs and works to reduce technical debt within their own components. -
Debugging and Triage:
Is adept at debugging issues and navigating the source code to determine root causes.
2. Cross-Functional Collaboration

Collaborates with UX designers and product managers to refine UI designs, ensuring technical feasibility and adherence to requirements. -

Works closely with backend teams on API integration and with QA teams to ensure features are thoroughly tested before release. -

What You Will Bring

Experience:
Generally, 46 years of relevant industry experience. (An MS graduate may begin at this level). -
Frontend Technologies:
Strong proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript and modern frameworks (React, Angular, or Vue). -
State & Styling:
Familiarity with state management patterns (Redux, Context API) and modern CSS techniques (Flexbox, Grid, CSS-in-JS). -
Performance Awareness:
Demonstrates an understanding of frontend performance best practices (e.g., minimizing re-renders, optimizing bundle sizes). -
Ownership:
A highly proactive work ethic; eager to learn and confident in taking on new challenges.
Work Arrangement
Hybrid: This role operates in a hybrid capacity, blending the benefits of remote work with the advantages of in-person collaboration. In locations where our workplace policy applies (i.e. San Jose, Durham, Mexico City, Bangalore, Pune, Hoofddorp, Belgrade, Barcelona, Singapore, Sydney and Tokyo), employees are expected to work onsite a minimum of 3 days per week to foster collaboration, team alignment, and access to in-office resources.
