Role Overview :

IIT Bombay’s Educational Outreach team is looking for a media specialist to craft compelling visual stories that capture the spirit of IIT Bombay’s Educational Outreach Marketing initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

Photography & Videography

• Capture professional-quality photos and videos during on-campus and off-campus events, academic sessions, interviews, and outreach activities.
• Maintain and manage photography and video equipment inventory.
• Build and maintain a digital library of visual assets for institutional use.

Video Editing & Post-Production

• Edit raw footage into compelling, polished videos suitable for promotional, educational, and social media purposes.
• Add music, graphics, transitions, animations, and subtitles to enhance viewer engagement.
• Ensure all video content adheres to IIT Bombay EO’s visual identity and branding standards.
• Deliver final outputs optimized for multiple platforms and resolutions.

Graphic Design & Creative Development

• Design digital and print materials including social media creatives, event posters, brochures, banners, infographics, and presentation decks.
• Develop visually appealing assets for campaigns, website updates, and promotional outreach.
• Ensure consistency in branding, typography, and color schemes across all media.
• Collaborate with communication and academic teams to translate concepts into effective visuals.

Content Planning & Coordination

• Work closely with the marketing and outreach teams to plan creative coverage for ongoing and upcoming projects.
• Participate in brainstorming sessions to conceptualize visual campaigns and multimedia stories.
• Coordinate with external vendors or freelancers when required for production support.

Desired Experience/Skills :

• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in marketing, graphics, Social Sciences, or related fields.
• 2-4 years’ of hands-on experience in photography, video production, or design

Technical Skills:

• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere Pro, Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, Lightroom).
• Familiarity with DSLR/mirrorless cameras, lighting equipment, and sound recording tools.
• Strong understanding of editing workflows, file formats, and social media content trends.
