Role Overview : IIT Bombay’s Educational Outreach team is looking for a dynamic Program Specialist to support the design and execution of high-impact educational programs, workshops, and outreach initiatives. This role blends program management, stakeholder engagement, operations, and content coordination, offering a unique opportunity to work closely with faculty, industry partners, and academic institutions. Key Responsibilities Program Coordination & Execution Assist in the design and delivery of workshops, certification programs, and outreach events. Ensure logistics, scheduling, communication, and materials are in place for each program. Stakeholder Engagement Liaise with internal IIT Bombay departments, faculty members, and external stakeholders (academic institutions, government bodies, corporate partners). Maintain active communication with participants, mentors, and partners. Operations & Reporting Track project timelines, deliverables, and KPIs. Maintain databases, generate reports, and ensure documentation and compliance. Content & Communication Support Assist in preparing outreach material, reports, presentations, newsletters, and updates. Coordinate with design and media teams to ensure branding consistency. Tech Platform Coordination Collaborate with IT and platform vendors for managing LMS, registration portals, and feedback tools. Troubleshoot tech-related issues during program rollout. Monitoring & Evaluation Conduct surveys, feedback analysis, and program impact assessments. Recommend improvements based on participant and stakeholder input. Desired Experience/Skills : Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Education, Management, Social Sciences, or related fields. 2+ years’ experience in program/project management (education/outreach preferred). Strong organizational and multitasking skills. Excellent communication and stakeholder management. This includes video production, editing, motion graphics, animations, and graphic design. The ideal candidate will not only have expertise in industry-standard multimedia tools but also practical skills in handling professional cameras, video equipment, and related gear. They will guide and collaborate with photographers and videographers to ensure the highest production standards are met. Multimedia Content Creation and Development Collaborate with Instructional Designers, Program Managers, and Web Development Teams to develop multimedia content for e-learning, marketing, and outreach initiatives. Design and develop high-quality graphics for websites, LMS platforms, brochures, advertisements, and social media campaigns. Plan, shoot, and edit video content, including pre-production tasks such as lighting setup, camera placement, and sound coordination. Assemble raw footage into polished outputs with seamless transitions, effects, audio, and motion graphics. Create engaging animations, explainer videos, and interactive content for online learning modules. Ensure visual storytelling aligns with IIT Bombay's brand and educational goals. 2. Camera and Equipment Expertise Operate and maintain professional cameras, video cameras, lighting, and audio equipment. Guide photographers and videographers on best practices for composition, framing, lighting, and shooting techniques. Oversee on-site and studio shoots to ensure technical quality and creative excellence. Stay updated on the latest camera gear, drones, and production tools relevant to multimedia projects. 3. Standards and Guidelines Establish and maintain guidelines for visual content, ensuring consistency across all projects. Maintain strong proficiency in typography, color theory, visual composition, and animation principles. Create templates and workflows to streamline multimedia production processes. 4. Project Management and Collaboration Plan and execute multimedia projects from concept to final delivery, ensuring deadlines and quality benchmarks are met. Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to integrate multimedia content into courses, campaigns, and digital platforms. Provide clear feedback and revisions to team members during production stages. 5. Qualifications, Experience, and Competencies Educational Qualifications: Mandatory: Certification in Animation, Graphic Design, Motion Graphics, or Video Editing from a recognized institution. Preferred: Diploma or degree in Multimedia, Communication, Visual Arts, or related fields. Professional Experience: 3+ years of proven experience in video production, editing, and multimedia content creation. Hands-on experience with professional cameras, lighting, and sound equipment.
