Mechanical Service Engineer

performing preventive maintenance, diagnosing mechanical issues, conducting inspections, managing spare parts, ensuring safety compliance, documenting service activities, and providing technical support and training to clients.This role requires strong technical expertise, hands-on skills, and excellent communication to work with clients and other engineers to keep equipment running efficiently and minimize downtime.  Core Responsibilities Installation & Commissioning: Install, test, and commission new mechanical systems and equipment.  Maintenance & Inspections: Conduct routine and preventive maintenance, perform inspections to identify potential issues, and monitor equipment performance.  Troubleshooting & Repair: Diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical issues, repair broken components, and replace defective parts to ensure optimal performance.  Technical Support: Provide technical advice, training, and guidance to customers and internal teams on the proper operation and maintenance of equipment.  Documentation: Maintain accurate and detailed records of all service activities, including maintenance logs, repair reports, and inventory levels.  Inventory Management: Manage stock of parts and supplies, verify receipts, and place orders to ensure necessary equipment and components are available.  Key Activities Equipment Upgrades: Manage repairs and upgrades of equipment and systems, sometimes coordinating with in-house or contracted resources.  Safety Compliance: Adhere to and ensure compliance with company and industry safety standards, procedures, and regulations.  Collaboration: Work with cross-functional teams, maintenance technicians, production managers, and other engineers to improve service processes and equipment reliability.  Reporting: Report on equipment breakdowns and malfunctions to management and document all maintenance work carried out.  Essential Skills Technical Expertise: In-depth knowledge of mechanical systems, equipment, and troubleshooting techniques.  Problem-Solving: Ability to diagnose complex mechanical and electrical issues and implement effective solutions.
