Mechanical QA/QC Engineer

Key Responsibilities:1. Installation & Commissioning

• Supervise and execute the installation of single-axis / dual-axis solar tracker systems as per approved design and layout.
• Ensure correct assembly, torqueing, alignment, and leveling of tracker structures and drive systems.
• Coordinate with civil and electrical teams for foundation alignment, motor mounting, and wiring interfaces.
• Verify tracker rotation, movement limits, and synchronization during commissioning.

2. Quality & Inspection

• Inspect incoming tracker components for dimensional accuracy, corrosion, and fabrication defects.
• Monitor welding, bolting, and mechanical connections as per QA/QC standards.
• Ensure compliance with project specifications, OEM installation manuals, and safety standards.
• Prepare and maintain checklists, inspection reports, and punch lists.

3. Tracker Operation & Maintenance

• Conduct periodic preventive maintenance of tracker motors, actuators, and gear assemblies.
• Troubleshoot mechanical failures, abnormal noises, or movement issues in tracker systems.
• Support the O&M team for calibration, lubrication schedules, and system upgrades.
• Maintain spares inventory and coordinate with procurement for replacements.

4. Coordination & Documentation

• Coordinate with EPC contractors, tracker OEMs, and project management teams for installation progress.
• Prepare daily progress reports (DPR), material consumption records, and mechanical work logs.
• Review drawings and provide inputs for design optimization or field-level modifications.
• Ensure adherence to project timelines and quality standards.

5. Health, Safety & Environment (HSE)

• Ensure all installation and maintenance activities follow company HSE policies.
• Conduct toolbox talks and safety briefings for mechanical teams and subcontractors.
• Report unsafe acts, near-misses, and ensure compliance with site safety norms.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹12,724.32 - ₹54,365.23 per month
