Mechanical Fitter

Salary : 3.2-3.8 LPA Job Title: Mechanical Fitter Location: Samlaya, Vadodara Job Type: Full-Time Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Fitter with a minimum of 3 years of experience in mechanical maintenance and preventive maintenance . The ideal candidate should hold an ITI (Fitter) qualification and have prior experience working in an edible oil or FMCG factory . This role requires expertise in troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining mechanical equipment to ensure smooth plant operations. The candidate must be flexible to work in any of the 3 shifts as per operational requirements . Key Responsibilities: Perform routine and preventive maintenance of mechanical systems, machinery, and equipment. Troubleshoot and repair mechanical faults in pumps, conveyors, gearboxes, and other plant equipment. Ensure the efficient operation of machines by performing inspections, lubrication, and component replacements as needed. Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and manuals to execute maintenance tasks. Conduct breakdown maintenance and ensure minimal downtime of production equipment. Work collaboratively with the production and electrical teams to identify and resolve equipment issues. Adhere to safety regulations and company policies while carrying out maintenance work. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and parts inventory. Suggest improvements for machine performance and efficiency. Be flexible to work in any of the 3 shifts (Morning, Afternoon, or Night). Requirements: Qualification: ITI (Fitter) certification. Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience in mechanical maintenance and preventive maintenance . Industry Preference: Experience in an edible oil plant or FMCG factory is highly desirable. Strong knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems , bearings, gearboxes, and mechanical components. Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and manuals. Hands-on experience with welding, grinding, and fabrication is a plus. Awareness of safety standards and industrial best practices. Ability to work in rotating shifts and handle emergency breakdowns.
