Type: Part-Time, Remote Perks: US organisation, handsome compensation Compensation: Starting at $12 to $20/hour (~Rs. 1400+ per hour) if you work an average of 3 hours a day - that could be upwards of Rs 1L per month if you choose to work average 8 hours a day - that could be upwards of Rs 2.2L per month Expected (minimum) Commitment: 10 hours/week Role Overview: A well-funded AI research company is looking for candidates with strong Mechanical Engineering knowledge. What does day-to-day look like? You would spend time evaluating and improving AI-generated responses related to mechanical engineering concepts, including thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, machine design, and manufacturing processes. Your role involves providing detailed feedback to enhance the AI’s understanding of engineering principles, calculations, and real-world applications. You’ll work with multi-modal data, integrating text-based explanations with technical drawings, equations, and simulations. Here are a couple of examples of the types of roles you might encounter: Thermodynamics Task: Review an AI-generated explanation of the Carnot cycle and refine the response for accuracy, clarity, and real-world application. Machine Design Task: Assess an AI-generated solution for gear design calculations and suggest improvements based on strength and efficiency. Fluid Mechanics Task: Evaluate an AI-generated response on Bernoulli’s equation and enhance it with better examples and visual representations. You’ll address tasks such as: Scoring AI-generated mechanical engineering solutions based on accuracy, clarity, and practical relevance. Refining AI-generated explanations for concepts related to materials science, heat transfer, and kinematics. Providing structured feedback to train AI models in engineering problem-solving, design optimization, and manufacturing best practices. Requirements: Strong knowledge of mechanical engineering principles, including thermodynamics, mechanics, and manufacturing processes. Excellent problem-solving abilities in engineering calculations and system design. Strong written and verbal communication skills to evaluate and refine AI-generated content. Ability to assess mechanical engineering insights for accuracy, feasibility, and industry relevance. Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field (or equivalent experience). Experience in mechanical design, manufacturing, or product development. Familiarity with engineering software such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, ANSYS, MATLAB, or CATIA. Prior experience in evaluating AI-generated technical content or working with AI-driven engineering tools.
