Mechanical Engineer

Job Summary: We are looking for a detail-oriented Mechanical Engineering Fresher to join our Quality Department. The role involves supporting quality assurance and inspection activities related to plasma spray coating processes, ensuring compliance with customer specifications, internal standards, and industry requirements. Key Responsibilities: Assist in inspection of plasma spray coated components as per drawings and specifications. Perform visual inspection, coating thickness measurement, and basic dimensional checks. Support in-process and final quality inspections of coated parts. Maintain inspection records, quality reports, and traceability documents. Assist in monitoring process parameters affecting coating quality. Support non-conformance reporting (NCR) and corrective action documentation. Coordinate with production and process teams to resolve quality issues. Follow ISO/quality system procedures, SOPs, and safety standards. Assist in calibration and handling of measuring instruments. Participate in internal audits and continuous improvement initiatives. Technical Skills & Knowledge Strong understanding of Mechanical Engineering fundamentals. Basic knowledge of engineering drawings and tolerances. Awareness of quality control concepts and inspection methodologies. Basic familiarity with measuring instruments (Vernier caliper, micrometer, thickness gauge). Understanding of manufacturing and surface coating processes (preferred). Basic computer skills (MS Excel, Word, documentation). Preferred Attributes: Internship/ experience in manufacturing or quality inspection is an added advantage. Basic awareness of ISO 9001 or industrial quality systems. Willingness to work in shop-floor and inspection environments.
