MECHANICAL ENGINEER

Job Description

Key Responsibilities Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on mechanical systems and equipment. Troubleshoot mechanical failures and ensure timely restoration of equipment to minimize downtime. Supervise maintenance crew and coordinate daily work schedules and job assignments. Maintain critical spares inventory and coordinate procurement when necessary. Monitor equipment performance and participate in root cause analysis (RCA) for repeated failures. Ensure strict compliance with safety and quality standards during all maintenance activities. Prepare daily and monthly maintenance reports, and participate in technical audits and inspections. Coordinate with operations, electrical, and instrumentation teams for integrated plant reliability. Key Skills & Competencies Sound knowledge of pumps, gearboxes, compressors, conveyors, valves, and rotating/static equipment. Hands-on experience with mechanical maintenance in thermal power, process, or industrial plants. Familiarity with maintenance software (CMMS) and documentation. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Good communication and team coordination skills. Qualification B.E. / B.Tech / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
