Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer with experience in the food processing industry to design, develop, and maintain mechanical systems and equipment for our organization.

Responsibilities

Design and development: Design and develop mechanical systems and equipment, such as pasteurizers, sterilizers, evaporators, different type of conveyors, Hygienic requirements as per food Industry norms etc. and packaging machinery, ensuring functionality, smooth operation, desire outputs with quality and safety.

Project management: Manage projects from conception to completion, including planning, scheduling, and coordinating with cross-functional teams, suppliers, and contractors and costing, planning and timeline har charts etc

Installation and commissioning: Oversee the installation and commissioning of new equipment and systems. Conduct performance testing and troubleshooting during commissioning phases.

Maintenance and troubleshooting: Perform routine inspections, identify and resolve mechanical issues, and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions to minimize downtime. Timely servicing of equipment to avoid break down and its planning, cost optimization, planning, scheduling, manpower deployment and work execution etc

Compliance and safety: Ensure all designs and operations comply with industry standards and food safety, health, and environmental regulations.

Procurement: Select and procure necessary mechanical components and equipment, managing relationships with suppliers to ensure timely delivery. Sharing basic technical requirements for these requirements, keeping critical spare stock of mechanical items and its planning, costing etc.

Documentation: Prepare and maintain project documentation, including technical drawings, specifications, and maintenance records

Experience: Relevant experience in mechanical engineering, project management, and working with industrial machinery is often required.

Education: A bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering is typically required, with advanced knowledge in areas like materials science and manufacturing being beneficial.
