Mechanical Design & Project Engineer

independently handle projects across NTP, NPD, VAVE, and Q&R

Key Responsibilities

• Execute multiple project types such as NTP (New Technology Projects), NPD (New Product Development), VAVE (Value Analysis/Value Engineering), and Q&R (Quality & Reliability) independently.
• Apply project management skills to plan, track, and deliver assigned projects.
• Work on mechanical systems, structural components, sheet metal, and plastic part design & development.
• Conduct DFMEA (Design Failure Mode & Effects Analysis) and DVPR (Design Verification Plan & Report) independently.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth project execution and timely delivery.
• Support RS Outdoor structural projects through design, execution, and validation.
• Contribute to VAVE projects, ideation workshops, and cost optimization initiatives.
• Troubleshoot technical issues, recommend corrective actions, and implement effective solutions.
• Ensure project documentation, test plans, and reports are maintained as per standards.
  

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in mechanical design engineering and project execution.
• Strong knowledge of structural systems, sheet metal, and plastic part development.
• Hands-on experience in DFMEA & DVPR.
• Good understanding of design engineering and manufacturing processes.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills to resolve technical issues.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in cross-functional environments.
• Good project management and communication skills.
