Mechanical Design Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer with 8–15 years of expertise to join our team for the design and engineering of large-scale urban water supply and wastewater infrastructure projects . The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in designing pumping stations, Water Treatment Plants (WTPs), and Sewage Treatment Plants (STPs) , with a deep understanding of the mechanical systems and equipment used in such projects. Key Responsibilities:- Design and engineering of mechanical systems for urban water supply and wastewater management projects. Selection and detailed design of pumps, valves, piping, and other allied mechanical equipment for pumping stations, WTPs, and STPs. Preparation of technical specifications , Bill of Quantities (BOQ) , and cost estimates for mechanical systems. Review of vendor drawings , technical submittals , and data sheets for compliance with project requirements. Coordination with multidisciplinary teams including civil, electrical, instrumentation, and process engineers. Ensure compliance with relevant national/international standards and codes (e.g., IS, BIS, ASME, API, etc.). Support during procurement , installation , and commissioning stages as needed. Requirements:- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (Master’s preferred). 8–15 years of relevant experience in water and wastewater infrastructure projects. Proficiency in tools like AutoCAD, Revit MEP, Plant 3D , or equivalent. Solid understanding of hydraulic design , equipment sizing , and system integration . Experience in preparing tender documents, technical reports, and project documentation. Excellent communication, coordination, and stakeholder management skills. Show more Show less
