Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Design Engineer with 5 to 8 years of experience in the electric motor industry, preferably in EV applications and drivetrain development. The ideal candidate will hold a BE in Mechanical or Production Engineering and possess strong expertise in CAD modeling (AutoCAD, Creo-Parametric, ProE), 2D drafting, tolerance stack-up analysis, and the preparation of manufacturing specifications and assembly documentation. Responsibilities include mechanical design of electric motors and related transmission systems (belt drives, planetary and reduction gearboxes), basic structural and thermal analysis, and coordination with electromagnetic, structural, and thermal simulation teams to validate design compliance through DFMEA and DFM/A studies. Candidates must demonstrate experience in benchmarking various motor types (BLDC, PMSM, axial flux, induction), be proficient with GD&T (ASME Y14.5), and have working knowledge of simulation tools like Ansys and CFD methods. Familiarity with PLM systems such as SAP/Windchill, understanding of motor and automotive standards, change management processes, and knowledge of manufacturing methods are essential.
