About Deccan AI

Deccan AI is a model training and eval startup headquartered in the Bay Area. We are founded by IIT Bombay, IIM Ahmedabad and ex-Google alumni, and work with some of the top AI frontier labs in the world, e.g. Google Deepmind, Snowflake, and many more. We are backed by Prosus Ventures, and our India delivery office is in Hyderabad. Most of our roles are on-site i.e. Bay Area / Hyderabad.

About the Role

Marketing Lead

Key Responsibilities

1. Brand & Positioning

  • Build and refine the company’s brand narrative, messaging, and market positioning
  • Maintain consistency across all channels — website, social, PR, events, and internal content


2. Demand Generation & Growth

  • Develop and execute multi-channel acquisition campaigns (social, email, content, paid)
  • Set up performance marketing funnels, tracking, and ROI analysis
  • Own lead generation targets and work closely with sales to improve conversions


3. Content & Communications

  • Plan and manage content strategy across blogs, case studies, newsletters, and social media
  • Craft compelling narratives that build trust with customers, partners, and talent
  • Manage internal and external communication, including PR initiatives


4. Product & Customer Marketing

  • Understand customer personas and translate product features into clear value propositions
  • Lead GTM strategy for new product/features — messaging, collateral, launch campaigns


5. Analytics & Insights

  • Track key KPIs: CAC, MQL → SQL funnel, campaign performance, brand reach
  • Use data to iterate and optimise campaigns


6. Team Leadership & Collaboration

  • Manage designers, content creators, and external agencies
  • Partner cross-functionally with Product, Sales, and Leadership to drive aligned outcomes


What We’re Looking For

  • 6+ years of experience in B2B SaaS, tech, or startup marketing
  • Strong understanding of digital, content, and performance marketing
  • Experience setting up marketing processes from scratch in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent storytelling and communication skills
  • Comfortable owning numbers — growth, funnel metrics, campaign KPIs
  • Ability to work cross-functionally and lead execution end-to-end
  • Prior experience managing teams or agencies is a plus


Good to Have

  • Experience in AI/ML or data-focused companies
  • Hands-on experience with tools like HubSpot, Google Analytics, Webflow, LinkedIn Ads, Meta Ads
  • Understanding of SEO best practices and content operations
