Role Overview:

Manufacturing Manager

Key Responsibilities:

Production & Operations

• Own production planning, operations, and maintenance for the pet food plant
• Align production runs with market demand in coordination with planning teams
• Drive process improvements in manufacturing and packaging based on business needs
• Ensure achievement of production targets within budget and quality norms
• Prepare and maintain SOPs, work instructions, and plant MIS

Maintenance & Engineering

• Plan and execute preventive maintenance to improve machine uptime and reliability
• Drive OEE improvement, productivity enhancement, and start-up stabilisation
• Lead maintenance activities, plant modifications, and improvement projects
• Coordinate with engineering stores and vendors for spares, upgrades, and efficiency improvements

Quality, Safety & Compliance

• Ensure finished goods meet defined quality standards
• Handle CQA, depot audits, consumer complaints, and corrective actions
• Conduct HACCP studies, hygiene audits, and system audits
• Ensure safe operations and compliance with food safety regulations

Continuous Improvement & Projects

• Lead processing and packaging engineering projects from feasibility to execution
• Experience with dry & liquid food processing and packaging equipment
• Exposure to filling, bottling, bagging, wrapping, and end-of-line automation

People Management

• Lead, train, and develop production and maintenance teams
• Build a disciplined, collaborative, and safety-focused shop-floor culture
• Drive skill development initiatives in coordination with HR
  

Desired Candidate Profile:

• 10+ years of experience in Manufacturing / Operations / Supply Chain
• 8+ years of experience in Food Processing Manufacturing (Pet Food preferred)
• Mandatory team handling and shop-floor leadership experience
• Strong exposure to OEE, TPM, preventive maintenance, HACCP, audits
• Manufacturing Excellence professionals are welcome if they have hands-on plant ownership
