VACANCY FOR TEAM MANAGER MANUFACTURING We are seeking a highly skilled Team Manager Manufacturing, Who will be responsible for managing activities on the shop to enable the production of units within the given lead time and ensuring the safe working of team members and contract personnel on the shop. The position / About the Job: Job Description Key Tasks : Ensure workstations are loaded in time and DOT of the job is maintained as per requirement. Ensure that required PPE is available for safe working of team members and contract personnel on shop. Ensure that Board audits and 5S audits are done as per requirement. Review of drawings along with POH and E&S team and advise Team members on the pipe layout etc. Feedback to UM and E&S India on changes in layout of module, during manufacturing. Daily planning and completion reporting on work done Giving feedback to POH on shortages during module manufacturing and ensuring receipt of same on shop for production. Ensure that modules get ready for testing and customer inspection, as per required dates. Provide support to QC personnel during inspection. Giving feedback to TM/UM on activities for cost reduction by process improvement and/or item reduction/ changes. Provide support to TM Purchase for SM/NM items use in other units/ modules. Ensure training of shop Team Members as per AL Guidelines. GENERAL Take active part in ALPS acitivities and ISO requirements Take active part in Inventory reduction and optimization activities Identify issues on shop and initiate C2/ Near misses accordingly EMS & OHSAS Requirements: Ensure basic safety norms/safety guidelines such as: Wearing safety shoes while moving on the shop floor as well while visiting suppliers Wearing necessary PPEs as per requirements of the areas Ensuring vendors adhere to EMS and OSHAS requriements. Knowledge and skills: Engineer with experience of 4-5 years in Shop Production, preferably in manufacturing of engineered modules. Ability to Read of PID, GA and Electrical drawings and explain the same to workmen Welding and Piping knowledge. Electrical drawing, PLC and instrumentation knowledge is and added advantage Knowledge in working of rotating equipments like centrifuges and pumps. Presentation and discussion skills. Plans and supervising the overall production activities of a plant ensuring compliance to global standards. Approve Production plan based on sales plan and monitor daily output with deviations highlighted. Key Job Responsibilities:- Supervise functional or operational area that directly supports the execution of tactical objectives. Supervise and coordinate the activities of production workers on the manufacturing floor. Plan and organize production schedules to meet customer demand and production targets. Supervise production processes to ensure products meet quality standards and specifications. Allocate resources effectively, including manpower, materials, and equipment, to optimize production output. Training and development, EHS compliance. Liaise with other departments, such as engineering, maintenance, and quality assurance, to coordinate production activities and resolve operational issues. Responsible to assure customer satisfaction needs are meet - lead time, on-time delivery, quality of product Responsible to assure proper manpower levels are in place to support demand. In charge of people satisfaction and development. Responsible for reducing costs through lean and 6 Sigma programs. Responsible for all the departmental audits like ISO, QMS etc. Responsible for team development, shopfloor workmen discipline and getting timely approvals from the management. Years of Relevant Work Experience Required: 15 - 20 years of experience Education/Work Experience & Skills:- BE in Mechanical / Metallurgist Lean / 6 Sigma certifications, In-depth knowledge on production processes, machinery, and equipment used in Engineering Industry(Batch production). Effective communication with shopfloor employees and cross functional departments to coordinate production activities. 15 years of experience in engineering industries is preferred. Knowledge on carbide tool manufacturing process and experience in green machining will be added advantage. Knowledge on production planning and scheduling. Knowledge on SAP PP Module. Should have 10 to 15 years of working experience in planning department from engg / process industry. Should be a good knowledge of SAP systems. Actively engaged in working with cross functional teams including internal and external vendors/customers. Having good collaboration, communication skills by maintaining strong interpersonal relations with all stake holders. Ability to deal with and establish rapport and trust at all levels. Experience in working in fast moving, technical business environment . Should have a strategic approach in dealing with problem solving. Should have led a team who are directly reporting to him.
