Job Description

Role and responsibilities

-Being the customer champion: Understand the market and needs of customers deeply through landscape analysis, customer interviews, user research, competition analysis and other qualitative/quantitative techniques.

- Problem Identification & Prioritization: Adopt a structured approach to identify what problems need to be solved and break them down into smaller chunks. Prioritize what problems need to be solved now vs. later.

- Solution Discovery: Facilitate a process to come up with the best technology-led ideas to solve the prioritized problems. Harness the creativity of not just yourself but of other teams such as design, engg., business, etc. Be willing to experiment with multiple solution ideas and test them using MVPs, prototypes, etc.

-Developing and maintaining the product roadmap: Work with stakeholders to develop a roadmap that outlines the key features and milestones for the product, prioritized based on business value and customer needs.

-Working with the development team: Work closely with the development team to ensure that the product backlog is clear and actionable, and that the team has the information they need to build high quality products.

-Managing the product backlog: Maintain a prioritized backlog of features, epics, and user stories that the development team will work on in upcoming sprints.

-Managing stakeholders: Responsible for managing the expectations of internal and external stakeholders and ensuring that the product backlog reflects their needs and concerns.

-Communicating with stakeholders: Responsible for communicating the product vision, roadmap, and backlog to stakeholders, including the development team, business leaders, and customers.

- Making trade-offs / Prioritize: Responsible for making tough decisions about trade offs between features, timelines, and resources, to ensure that the product is delivered on time.

-Measuring success: Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of the product and ensure that it is meeting business and customer needs.

-Participating in sprint planning and review: Participates in sprint planning and review meetings to provide input on the priority of the product backlog items and to review the progress of the development team.

  • Testing of solutions delivered before deployment through processes like UAT and dogfooding
  • · Product Documentation: Own Product documentation right from BRD, Product Capability notes, Product Manuals and so on
  • Industry Knowledge: Monitor emerging trends, industry developments, regulatory change and security enhancements across the lending industry.

Qualifications:

  • 5-10 years of experience in product management in India
  • Experience in Firebase, Google Analytics , JIRA
  • Good understanding of technology, and comfort with product management processes such as A/B experimentation, writing product requirement documents, managing product backlogs, and creating roadmaps
  • Desirable: Must have worked in Product Teams in startups/fintech/banks/NBFCs and handled Digital Payments vertical.
  • Knowledge and experience into rules and regulations and various compliances in Digital lending business.
  • Must have managed multiple stakeholders efficiently like-engineering, Design, Business etc.
