Manager- Tax (Renewables Power and Transition Group)

About The Role

Key Responsibilities

• Tax compliance:
• Work closely with the advisors and manage compliances with tax laws for the various investment entities (including income-tax returns filings and transfer pricing filings)
• Work closely with the tax teams of the portfolio companies to oversee compliance / tax reporting for the various portfolio companies
• Stay updated on any changes in tax laws in India and ensure compliance with such requirements.
• Deal support:
• Work closely with the investment teams and advisors to evaluate and analyze tax impact of iinvestment, divestment, restructuring transactions (“M&A activities”).
• Review and assist in implementation of the M&A activities, including negotiation of tax clauses of the transaction documents.
• Ideate on risk mitigation strategies on tax due diligence findings.
• Strategic tax initiatives:
• Participate in strategic long-term planning for international and domestic income taxes in line with the business objectives
• Identify and analyze tax incentives available to the business.
  

Qualifications Required

• Position requires an individual with a minimum of 3 to 5 years of relevant tax experience with a Big 4 accounting / tax firm
  

Experience Required

• Good experience in / understanding of (a) Indian tax laws and international tax principles, (b) Indian tax compliances, (c) tax aspects of deal structuring, (d) fund structures and fund tax considerations
• Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent project management skills and an ability to handle high-stake complex assignments
