Job Title: Contracts and Commercials Manager – Renewable Energy (Land Acquisition) Location: New Delhi Department: Contracts & Commercial Reporting To: Business Head/Director Experience: 5–10 years (preferably in renewable energy, infrastructure, or real estate) Employment Type: Full-time Company Overview: We are a fast-growing company in the renewable energy sector, providing end-to-end land acquisition and development services for solar and wind power projects. Our mission is to simplify the land procurement process for our clients, enabling timely and efficient project execution across India. Position Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Contracts and Commercials Manager to lead the structuring, negotiation, and management of all land-related contracts and commercial agreements. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in contracts law, commercial negotiations, and a deep understanding of land acquisition processes in the renewable energy or infrastructure sectors. Key Responsibilities: Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of contracts including: Land Lease Agreements Sale Deeds Development Agreements MoUs and NDAs EPC and service provider contracts (as applicable) Structure and vet commercial models for land aggregation, sub-leasing, and transfer to clients. Ensure alignment of all contract terms with applicable laws, business objectives, and client requirements. Coordinate with internal teams (legal, business development, operations) and external stakeholders (landowners, government bodies, clients). Maintain contract lifecycle management systems and track key obligations and timelines. Advise business heads on contract risks, exposure, and mitigation strategies. Support due diligence, title verification, and compliance checks as part of land acquisition processes. Stay updated on relevant legal developments (e.g., land acquisition laws, state-specific rules, renewable energy policies). Qualifications and Skills: Bachelor’s degree in Law (LLB); Master’s degree (LLM or MBA) is an advantage. 5–10 years of experience in contracts/commercials, with a minimum of 3 years in land acquisition or renewable energy. Strong understanding of contract law, property law, and commercial negotiation. Experience with land transactions across multiple Indian states is preferred. Excellent drafting, analytical, and negotiation skills. Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities. Comfortable working in a fast-paced, field-oriented environment. Why Join Us?
