Roles & Responsibilities: Import / Export / Customs & Statutory

• Advance authorisation (DGFT) application, utilization, closure and proper monitoring. Coordinating with Project team, Finance, DGFT consultant for obtaining EODC/Redemption certificate from DGFT.
• Finalisation of provisional assessed BEs under Project Imports / SVB and its Customs related works.
• Responsible for finalisation of project registration, monitoring and keeping up to date records for Bank Guarantee & Bonds.
• Timely Customs clearance, guide logistic partners on shipment schedules related to project (Import / Export) and ensure no delay / detentions.
• Co-ordination with all stakeholders and updating shipments status regularly.
• Responsible for all required statutory licences, compliances of Customs & DGFT. Ensure all certifications and approvals are validated within the time.
• Float RFQ, check and prepare comparison and negotiate to optimize freight rates. Obtain prior approval and finalising WO, contract / rate contract as needed.
• Liaison with Shipping lines, freight forwarder, Customs authorities & other Government authorities.
  
• Stay abreast of changes in customs laws and regulations and assess their impact on the organization. Collaborate and communicate with internal stakeholders for alignment and related matters.
• Proactively identify and resolve any issues related to documentation, shipping, or customs clearance to prevent delays in process. Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency in the workflow. Recommend and implement changes to enhance the overall effectiveness of EXIM documentation processes.
• Maintain organized and up-to-date records of all documentation, ensuring easy retrieval and compliance with record-keeping regulations.
  

Submit daily/weekly MIS reports of overall ImportExport & statutory clearances.

• Vendor management Payment / Reconciliation and closure of all Vendor issues.
