Job Description


We are seeking a highly experienced and dynamic Sales Manager to lead and grow our business in India, with full ownership of the Profit & Loss (P&L) for the region. The ideal candidate will be a self-driven individual contributor with a strong background in B2B salespreferably in rubber elastic products, textile narrow fabrics, or related industries—capable of scaling a $3M+ business both organically and inorganically. Candidates with sales experience in SAARC nations will be an added advantage.

This role requires ahands-on sales leaderwho is on the field, deeply customer-centric, and committed to delivering exceptional quality and service. The Sales Manager will be responsible for driving strategy, building key account relationships, managing warehousing operations, and ensuring full compliance with local laws and company policies.

Key Responsibilities

  • P&L Ownership: Manage the complete P&L for the Indian market and/or other SAARC regions, ensuring business growth and profitability.
  • Market Development: Expand the business by identifying new markets, segments, and opportunities. Leverage existing and new products to achieve aggressive growth targets.
  • Key Account Management: Build, nurture, and retain existing strategic customer relationships; handle key brands and accounts to maximize revenue and customer satisfaction.
  • Market Insights & Strategy: Develop a deep understanding of customer needs and market dynamics. Relay actionable insights to headquarters and drive effective local strategies in close collaboration with the VP International Sales.
  • Sales Operations: Full-cycle sales responsibilities, including forecasting, reporting, invoicing, payment recovery, negotiation, deal closure, and delivery management.
  • Compliance: Ensure strict adherence to all local laws, industry standards, and company policies; coordinate with HQ for any deviations or special requirements.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams at headquarters (India) for planning, execution, and alignment on company goals.
  • Forecasting & Reporting: Provide accurate sales forecasts and business reports on a monthly and annual basis. Track KPIs and take proactive measures to achieve targets.
  • Industry Engagement: Maintain a close watch on industry trends, attend relevant symposiums and exhibitions, and represent the company at industry forums.
  • Travel: Willingness to travel extensively across the region (at least to 70% of the time).

Key Requirements

  • Experience: Minimum 15 years of progressive B2B sales experience, with a strong record of business development and key account management.
  • Industry Knowledge: Background in rubber elastic products, textile narrow fabrics, or related sectors strongly preferred.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in engineering, MBA or relevant business qualification is a significant advantage.
  • Language Skills: Fluency in English is essential. Any other regional language, including Hindi will be an added advantage.
  • International Exposure: Sales experience in other countries is highly advantageous.
  • Technical Skills: Strong analytical skills with experience in forecasting, budgeting, and sales operations. Ability to interpret market data and translate needs into actionable business requirements.
