Manager - RE(DFC)

The Consultant will drive the growth of Renewable Energy,Agribusienss, Agri-tech, Agri-fintech, and food waste management verticals by leading pilot projects, scaling initiatives, and building

strong systems and partnerships. The role includes stakeholder engagement, due diligence, portfolio monitoring, and business development, requiring strategic thinking, financial acumen, and a passion for sustainability.

Result areas of the department

• Consultant responsible for driving the establishment and expansion of renewable energy, Agri-tech, Agri-fintech, and food waste management verticals.
• Lead the design, development, and execution of pilot projects to evaluate feasibility and impact.
• Scale and strengthen the portfolio of renewable energy and Agri-focused initiatives within these verticals.

Key Responsibilities.

• Lead the vertical in building and strengthening the RE/Agri sector.
• Develop systems and process in rolling out the pilot projects on the shortlisted sectors.
• Manage key stakeholder relationships in program for executing quality deliverables.
• Conduct initial due diligence of the potential partners including high level financial analysis.

Monitor

• Monitor and support the partner institutions in providing necessary support in enhancing their capacities wherever required.
• Monitor the financial performance and other covenants adherence by the partners.
• Develop and measure strong program Impact monitoring systems and process.

External Relations

• Develop effective liaison with the local stake holders' viz., Government agencies, banks, financial institutions, technical service providers, research institutions, communities, individual borrowers to enhance the business.
• Ensures that the organization and its mission, programs, products, and services are consistently presented in a strong, positive manner to relevant stakeholders.

Recurring Tasks

• Overall responsibility for supporting in creating demand and marketing the RE/Agri vertical.
• Involvement in developing the annual BDP and monitoring business growth.
• Support in loan disbursements to meet the targets.
• Organize and conduct training and workshops.
• Keep track of the sector developments

Education and experience

• Have a bachelors' degree in Renewable Energy Engineering, Environment/, environmental science, Economics, sustainable agriculture, or renewable energy and related field. Have knowledge in Agriculture and a good understanding of how Renewable energy is used in Agriculture and renewable energy concepts and practices with relevant experience.
• Banking and Lending experience is essential.
• Be agile and adaptable.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Excel and Word and good skills at using financial software applications.
• Strong analytical and writing skills.
• Excellent communication and people skills
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Understanding on the key sector specific regulatory compliances
• Passion for sustainable agriculture, climate action, renewable energy, social and environmental justice issues.
