(With at least 3–5 years in a supervisory/lead role)

About the Role

Polmon is seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineering Manager to lead the design and development of heat

transfer systems, heat exchangers, pumps, motors, temperature control units (TCUs), and skid-based thermal systems. The role requires strong fundamentals in mechanical engineering, thermodynamics, heat transfer, and precision design. The position will lead a team of engineers and collaborate closely with production, vendors, and cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Team Management:

• Lead and mentor a team of mechanical engineers in the development of industrial and instrumentation products.

• Foster technical growth, innovation, and continuous improvement within the team.

Design, Engineering & Review:

• Lead end-to-end design and development of heat transfer systems, thermal systems, and associated components.

• Design and review heat exchangers, pumps, motors, TCUs, and skid-based systems.

• Review, validate, and approve heat load calculations, design calculations, and system performance assessments.

• Oversee 3D modeling, assemblies, fabrication drawings, GADs, P&IDs, and ensure engineering accuracy.

• Validate and approve consolidated Bill of Materials (BOMs) with detailed specifications.

Technical Excellence:

• Ensure strong application of thermodynamics, heat transfer, fluid mechanics, mechanical design, and heat & mass

transfer principles.

• Supervise prototype development, concept evaluation, and design validation activities.

• Guide the team in applying precision engineering and manufacturability principles.

Process, Coordination & Delivery:

• Oversee engineering documentation, design reports, and project artifacts as per design process.

• Coordinate with vendors, production, QA, procurement, and cross-functional teams to ensure smooth project

execution.

• Identify and implement engineering process improvements to enhance design efficiency and reduce development

timelines.

Required Skills

• Strong expertise in heat transfer systems, heat exchangers, pumps, motors, TCUs, and skid-based thermal systems.

• Deep technical knowledge of mechanical engineering fundamentals, thermodynamics, heat transfer, and precision

design.

• Good understanding of manufacturing processes such as sheet metal fabrication, welding, machining, and

assembly.

• Proficiency with CAD tools such as SolidWorks / Creo / Inventor / AutoCAD.

• Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.

• Excellent communication, team leadership, and project management capabilities.

• Experience in thermal systems or heating & cooling equipment manufacturing is highly preferred.

• Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritizes tasks, and delivers high-quality output within timelines.
