Job Description

Role & responsibilities

  • Targeted Marketing:

    Develop and implement effective marketing strategies specifically targeting the S&T department across

    Indian Railways

    .
  • Relationship Management:

    Proactively visit and maintain strong, professional relationships with key decision-makers at

    Divisional Railway Manager (DRM) offices

    and

    Zonal Railway offices

    across the country.
  • Sales Funnel Management:

    Establish and manage a robust

    sales funnel

    from initial lead generation and qualification to deal closure, ensuring consistent pipeline growth and accurate forecasting.
  • Technical Consultation:

    Act as a technical sales expert, articulating the value proposition of our products and solutions related to

    Telecom & Signaling Systems

    .

Tender and Contract Management

  • Tender Tracking:

    Closely follow up with clients and railway officials to monitor the status and anticipated release of relevant

    tenders

    .
  • Bid Management:

    Thoroughly study, analyze, and manage the technical and commercial

    terms and conditions

    of released tenders.
  • Tender Cycle Expertise:

    Possess and apply comprehensive knowledge of the entire

    tender cycle

    within Indian Railways, including pre-bid meetings, submission, technical evaluation, and post-award formalities.

Travel and Project Oversight

  • Travel Profile:

    This role requires an estimated

    50% travel

    across India to meet with railway officials, conduct market research, and attend key meetings.
  • Project Monitoring:

    Provide effective project oversight and liaison with internal technical and operations teams to ensure awarded projects are implemented as per contract specifications and timelines.

Qualifications and Skills

Education:

  • Experience:

    Minimum of 5-8 years of experience in sales, business development, or marketing, with significant exposure to the

    Indian Railways sector

    .
  • Domain Expertise:

    Essential in-depth

    knowledge of Telecom and Signaling Systems

    used by Indian Railways.
  • Procedural Knowledge:

    Proven understanding and successful track record with the

    Indian Railways tender and procurement processes

    .

Preferred

  • Prior experience working directly with or for the S&T department of Indian Railways.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present complex technical information clearly.
  • Excellent negotiation, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, manage a heavy travel schedule, and meet challenging sales targets.
