Job Description

Role & responsibilities

Procurement of
raw materials
(scrap, ferro alloys, electrodes, fluxes).
Purchasing of
critical spares & consumables
for Electrotherm and Inductotherm furnaces (refractories, coils, cables, hydraulics, cooling systems, etc.).
Vendor identification, development, and negotiation for best pricing and quality.
Effective
inventory management
in SAP to avoid stock-outs or excess holding.
Coordination with
Production, Maintenance, and Stores
teams for planning requirements.
Preparation of purchase orders, contracts, and vendor documentation in SAP.
Monitoring supplier performance and ensuring quality compliance.
Regular MIS reports, budgeting, and cost optimization.
