Role & responsibilities

1. Purchases Local & Imported Raw Materials, MRO items and Packing Material.
2. Vendor development and monitoring , material management for existing and new Business requirement3. To coordinate with Planning and provide quarterly rollong forecasts to the suppliers and monitor their performances4. To ensure issuance of Purchase Order to suppliers as per specific requirement with complete details5. Liaise with CHAs, Freight Forwarder & Transporters by optaining the most competative freight rates6. Identify alternate sources for required material to break the monopolistics situation.7. To ensure uninterrupted & timely services from service provider8. Ensure key supplier audit is carried out at periodic intervals and assess vendor capabilities, based on the observations9. Improve "ONTIME" by ensuring material availability as per production plan by anticipating the global situation & demand supply trend.10. Analyze & anticipate purchase and financial risks involved well in advance and take adequate measures to mitigate the same11. Compare & evaluate offers from Suppliers & share the PO on approval.12. Negotiate contract terms of agreement & pricing.13. Monitor stocks levels and place orders as per the requirements.14. Updating & Maintaining records of orders, payments & material receipts.15. Coordinate, formulate and implement standard operating procedures for purchase. Adhere to purchasing policy as per guide lines of Saint Gobain16. Identify training/learning needs of subordinates and provide opportunities for development16. Comply with all QMS/EHS systems.18. Implementation of Digital tools related to Purchase functions
