Manager - Project Planning

Role Overview: You will be responsible for all planning-related activities for ongoing and upcoming projects at Gujarat Fluorochemicals Limited. Your main goal will be to manage time, cost, and scope without any deviation, ensuring the successful completion of projects while meeting the company's strategic and operational objectives. You will work closely with design consultants, engineering, procurement, and construction contractors to develop critical path schedules, track project deliverables, and monitor progress effectively. Key Responsibilities: - Work with design consultants and contractors to develop baseline critical path schedules and progress measurement - Create resource-loaded schedules to optimize productivity standards - Implement project planning based on the Basic Engineering Package - Utilize MS Project or Primavera for planning and scheduling activities - Monitor project status and communicate relevant information to stakeholders - Conduct project review meetings, identify issues, and plan countermeasures - Prepare presentations to convey plans and schedules to the project team and stakeholders - Assist in evaluating progress and status of critical activities, ensuring alignment with planned activities - Provide timing information for cost forecasting accuracy to cost engineers - Record project's historical schedule information and lessons learned for future reference - Support in the selection of design consultants and construction contractors - Plan new projects, prepare budgetary project proposals, and estimate overall costs - Monitor project purchases and expedite processes - Coordinate with design, contractors, suppliers, consultants, and accounts department - Ensure timely project delivery within defined budget costs by setting major goals and objectives - Manage cash flow effectively and oversee contract management - Optimize costs and achieve cost savings - Ensure timely delivery of materials Qualification Required: - Minimum Qualification: B.E./B. Tech (Mechanical Preferred) - Preferred Qualification: MBA (preferred) Additional Details: - You should have a minimum of 15 years of total experience, with at least 10 years in the field of Chemical/Petrochemical/Refinery project planning and vendor development for project execution. - Functional skills required include problem-solving, meeting deadlines, staying within budget, demonstrating leadership, good communication skills, knowledge of plant equipment and constructional details, systems orientation, and hands-on experience in Microsoft Project and Primavera.
