Role Description

Manager – Productions

Educational Qualification

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, Mechatronics, Production Engineering, or Manufacturing Technology from a recognized university.
• Post-graduate qualification (optional) in Industrial Engineering or Operations Management will be an added advantage.

Experience

• Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in precision fabrication, machining, and assembly operations, preferably in marine, renewable energy, or heavy-engineering sectors.
• Proven experience in managing end-to-end production of mechanical assemblies involving milling, turning, shaft alignment, and gearbox installation.

Key Skills and Requirements

Core Skills

• Leadership, project management, and team collaboration

• Experience in production workflows, resource planning, and operations management

• Knowledge of quality assurance, risk management, and industry-standard processes

• Strong data analysis and decision-making capabilities

• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills

• Exposure to maritime, AI, or green technologies (preferred)

• Prior experience in maritime or technology sectors (advantageous)

• Working knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 systems

Managerial Skills

• Ability to lead and coordinate teams including technicians, welders, and machinists

• Production planning and scheduling to meet milestones

• Cost and material control for prototypes and pilot batches

• Vendor management and documentation of machining/assembly stages

• Maintaining 5S practices and ensuring workplace safety

Other Requirements

• Strong analytical and problem-solving ability

• Good communication and reporting skills

• Willingness to travel occasionally to partner machine shops and shipyards

Compensation / Remuneration

₹ 40,000 – ₹,65,000 per month
