Manager - Production Planning

· Production Planning & Scheduling: -Develop and implement detailed production plans based on customer orders/forecasts, capacity constraints, project schedules, customer delivery commitments, and resource availability. -Convert sales and design BOMs into manufacturing schedules. Release Daily/Weekly plan to shopfloor. -Coordinate with Design, Procurement and Production teams to plan custom builds Project. -Ensure alignment of planning with real-time changes in order priority and material availability. · Project Coordination: -Track all project milestones and proactively resolve delays through re-prioritization and resource reallocation. -Interface regularly with production teams to monitor work progress, remove blockers, and ensure adherence to schedule. -Plan and coordinate internal and subcontracted manufacturing activities. -Translate project requirements into executable shop floor production plans through daily/weekly review systems (e.g., Day & Weekly plan , Gantt charts,) -Coordinate rework and change management based on design changes or quality deviations. -Conduct customer facing meetings with product related updates during PDI of machines. -Conduct training and development for staff on planning tools, safety protocols, and quality standards. · Material Plan & Coordination: -Work closely with the procurement team for material availability based on production schedules. -Ensure timely availability of long-lead items, imported components, and make-to-spec parts. -Minimize inventory holding while preventing material shortages. · Process Optimization: -Identify process bottlenecks and implement lean manufacturing and continuous improvement practices to improve throughput. -Collaborate with QC for compliance to IEC standards related to environmental testing equipment. -Participate in cross-functional reviews to improve overall throughput. -Standardize planning procedures for recurring project types. -Tracking key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess project progress and identify areas for improvement. · Reporting: -Generate daily/weekly actual planning reports. -Provide updates on delivery timelines, capacity utilization, and resource forecasting. -Maintain and Update accurate records of production schedules, changeovers, and deviations. · Compliance & Documentation: -Ensure compliance with health, safety, Company policies and environmental regulations. -Maintain proper documentation and audit trails as per ISO and project requirements. -Coordinate and support quality team in implementing quality control procedures. · Skills Required: -Strong project management and analytical skills. -Excellent communication and interdepartmental coordination skills. -Proficiency in MS Excel, PPT, Word and Project Management tools -Ability to thrive under pressure and manage tight project deadlines & manage multiple priorities. -Leadership and team development skills.
