What You’ll Do

"Eaton India Innovation Center (EIIC) is looking for Manager, Power Electronics Test Lab, to work across enterprise engineering. This position is based at our office in Magarpatta City, Pune. The role has to step up to provide leadership on several initiatives in power electronics products testing and validation. As part of the role incumbent will work on developing in-house capabilities for power electronics product testing and application of the test capabilities for reserach, development and sustaining engineering programs. Incubment will be also responsible to partner with product division engineering teams to develop external suppliers for proto-type and complementing test capabilities. This role oversees multiple labs for electrical tests, assembly house, and validation tests.Role will provide technical guidance and functional work supervision for work done by power electronic test lab team and will also perform hands-on assignment for high complexity programs. Incumbent should establish positive working relations with various local and global stakeholders and cross functional team to facilitate open dialogue and trust building across the organization. The focus should be on standardization of processes and practices that will enable organization to engineer secure, future-proof, optimized solutions, while helping to improve efficiency and productivity in a data-driven framework. This role will also network, collaborate and influence with various engineering leaders across the local and global organization to support or lead various initiative prescribed in Eaton Business System (EBS)."

Responsibilities

"Eaton India Innovation Center (EIIC) is looking for Manager for Power Electronics Lab, responsible for Prototype, Test & Validation. Key responsibilities of the role are:
  • Manage capacity, capability and resources including people / software / hardware / lab infrastructure as part of budget planning and governance
  • Champion implementation of Eaton Business Systems for capability enhancement and driving functional excellence
  • Drive high performance culture, coach and motivate subordinates to achieve their professional goals and review their accomplishments
  • Manage effective stakeholder communication, improve organizational responsiveness to stakeholder requirements
  • Drive continuous improvement framework to build learning culture and build sustainable competitive advantage thru improving our processes and systems.
  • Responsible for test setups and support test execution for power electronics tests (e.g. functional, environmental, thermal, durability).
  • Ensure labs and test set-ups meet requirements and standards for safety and accuracy.
  • Build infrastructure (Test Lab, Prototype House, Test Cell) based on business and project needs.
  • Troubleshoot potential set-up and Power Electronics Boards errors.
  • Define and enforce lab rules and standards regarding safety and cleanliness (5S and EHS).
  • Participate in the development of electronics products - Assemble and rework printed circuit board assemblies"

Qualifications

Masters in Electronics or Electrical or manufacturing engineering10+ years of industry experience with significant exposure in working with global cross functional team. Experience in managing stakeholder relationships working closely with multi-functional global senior leadership. Experience in power electronics engineering."
  • 8+ years of experience in power electronics engineering
  • High voltage Safety Certification: Level 2
  • Minimum 3 years of technical leadership in Power Product development.

Skills

  • Mid to Expert level knowledge of Power, Embedded, electrical circuits and components.
  • PCBA rework capabilities
  • Good understanding of safe and efficient lab practices
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
