Description
As a Manager, Power Electronics Test Lab at Eaton India Innovation Center (EIIC), you will be responsible for providing leadership in power electronics products testing and validation. You will work on developing in-house capabilities for power electronics product testing and applying these capabilities for research, development, and sustaining engineering programs. Additionally, you will partner with product division engineering teams to develop external suppliers for prototype and complementary test capabilities. Your role will involve overseeing multiple labs for electrical tests, assembly house, and validation tests. Your key responsibilities will include: - Managing capacity, capability, and resources including people, software, hardware, and lab infrastructure within budget planning and governance - Championing the implementation of Eaton Business Systems for capability enhancement and driving functional excellence - Driving a high-performance culture, coaching, and motivating subordinates to achieve their professional goals - Managing effective stakeholder communication and improving organizational responsiveness to stakeholder requirements - Driving a continuous improvement framework to build a learning culture and sustainable competitive advantage through process and system improvements - Responsible for test setups, supporting test execution for power electronics tests, ensuring labs meet safety and accuracy standards - Building infrastructure based on business and project needs, troubleshooting potential setup and power electronics board errors - Defining and enforcing lab rules and standards regarding safety and cleanliness (5S and EHS) - Participating in the development of electronics products, assembling and reworking printed circuit board assemblies Qualifications: - Masters in Electronics, Electrical, or Manufacturing Engineering - 10+ years of industry experience with significant exposure to working with global cross-functional teams and managing stakeholder relationships - Experience in power electronics engineering - 8+ years of experience in power electronics engineering - High Voltage Safety Certification: Level 2 - Minimum 3 years of technical leadership in Power Product development Skills: - Mid to expert-level knowledge of power, embedded, electrical circuits, and components - PCBA rework capabilities - Good understanding of safe and efficient lab practices - Ability to work independently with minimal supervision - Strong organizational, communication, and planning skills In addition to technical qualifications, you should possess the following characteristics: - Drive for results - exceeding goals successfully - Motivating others - creating a climate where people want to do their best - Managerial courage - providing necessary feedback - Decision quality - making good decisions based on analysis, wisdom, experience, and judgment - Business acumen - knowledgeable in current and future technologies and understanding how businesses work,
