Manufacturing Operations Manager

makes sure the entire factory process - from planning to shipping - runs smoothly so quality products are delivered on time and at the right cost.Our philosophy:

Main Responsibilities

  • Planning: Develop production schedules, plan resources, and work with in-house as well as contract manufacturing teams to get the best results for the factory
  • Procurement and Inventory: Buy raw materials, keep track of inventory, and make sure supplies are always available with optimum use of resources
  • Assembly: Supervise assembly lines, make sure everyone follows safe working practices, and solve daily problems to get products finished correctly
  • Quality Control (QC): Adhere to quality standards, check work at key stages, and quickly fix any quality problems before products are shipped
  • Logistics: manage inbound and outbound shipments, confirm correct products are sent to customers on time
  • Compliance and Factory Management: Serve as the designated Factory Manager as per the Factories Act, for periodic coordination with government authorities. Ensure adherence to factory-related compliance in collaboration with the Talent and EHS functions

Skills And Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, manufacturing, business, or a related field is usually required
  • 2+ years managing teams or operations in a factory or a similar environment, with experience in planning, buying, and stock control
  • Good communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills to lead staff and improve processes
  • Experience with manufacturing software for inventory management or scheduling
  • Understanding of process improvement methods (Lean, Six Sigma) is a plus

Work Environment

  • Full time role based out of Exponent's headquarters and integrated manufacturing facility located in Electronic city, Bengaluru
  • Fast-paced, requires balancing the need to build scalable, long-term systems with agility to respond quickly to daily challenges
This role is vital to making sure each part of the factory process works together smoothly - from planning and supplies through production and quality checks to final shipment.
