The Planning and Scheduling Manager leads the Maintenance Planning Team in Engineering Solutions, Supply Chain. This role partners with the plants, ES team and Corporate Maintenance Team to minimize downtime and maximize the reliability of our assets by ensuring that the maintenance work is requested, approved, planned, scheduled, and executed in a standard, efficient, and visible manner. He/She demonstrates strong technical knowledge in maintenance crafts, equipment function, manufacturing requirements, CMMS, and project management. Responsibilities require the incumbent to possess organizational leadership and operational excellence mindset along with technical and business acumen to lead represent M&R team on global organizational level.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

Team Setup and Leadership
- Build and lead a high-performing team of 8 Maintenance Planners.
- Hire, onboard, and train new team members with a strong focus on technical and process understanding.
- Define team structure, roles, responsibilities, and KPIs.
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Establish performance metrics and monitor adherence to SLAs, KPIs, and quality standards.
- Conduct regular reviews and audits of planning outputs such as PM schedules, work orders, material planning, and backlog management.
- Identify process improvement opportunities to drive efficiency, accuracy, and productivity.
Risk and Escalation Management
- Proactively identify operational risks and bottlenecks; develop mitigation plans.
- Handle escalations in a timely and effective manner, ensuring resolution and stakeholder confidence.
- Maintain documentation and reporting related to issues, risks, and resolutions.
Lead M&R on Strategic and Operational Front
- Be a thought leader within the Maintenance organization to lead and develop a multiskilled team that delivers on Engineering Priorities for the company
- Lead defining, development and effectively cascading of Corporate Maintenance and ES OGSM to direct reports that focus on business performance and partnerships
- Partner with Corporate Maintenance team to develop Planning and Scheduling processes, methods and standards and execute them across business-critical systems
- Provide Technical/Process Trainings/Mentoring to Engineering Solutions team as well as Plant Maintenance Team as per identified need
People Responsibilities
- Conduct regular team meetings to effectively communicate changing business needs, organizational strategy, and policies
- Promote positive employee relations through effective conflict management and issue resolution
- Lead, empower, manage, coach, develop and reward team to achieve goals, engage in differential initiatives across Supply Chain and attain ever-higher performance
- Work with other Engineering Leaders to develop formal Talent program including development, assessment process, mentoring, technical / process leadership trainings, hiring strategy, succession planning and global career pathing
- Participate with other Engineering Leaders to establish strategic plans, objectives and roadmap for the team
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Education Full time graduation from an accredited university (Mandatory- Note: This is the minimum education criteria which cannot be altered)
- Minimum Degree Requirements : Bachelors
- Preferred Major Area of Study : Bachelor s degree in engineering in any one: Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, Production, Electronics, Instrumentation
- Minimum years of related experience required : 8 years

- Preferred Degree Requirements : Master s
- Preferred Professional Certifications : Any relevant Certification in Reliability
- Preferred years of related experience : 8-12 years
Specific Job Experience or Skills Needed
- 6+ years of work experience with demonstrated project and people leadership skills.
- Demonstrated experience in the Plant Operations or Maintenance Domain
- Deep Knowledge of Maintenance Planning and Scheduling Principles and other PM Pillar Foundations
- Good understanding of Plant Processes and Knowledge of maintenance crafts, tools, and equipment
- Excellent interpersonal skills, including verbal, written, electronic, listening and feedback communications
- Learning agility and desire to grow expertise in maintenance principles

Additional Information
- This position reports to the Engineering Management with the Supply Chain Division. Hours of operation are 3:30 PM to 12:30 AM IST (Monday to Friday) with the ability to flex hours as the job demands.
- In performing these accountabilities, the incumbent must develop and maintain an effective working relationship with Organizations employees at all levels across the company locations.
- The Job may involve travel to worldwide plants on short term basis depending on business requirements.
